I’ve failed at dieting for 12 years so you don’t have to. When I was in 2nd grade, I got put on my first ever diet. For all my life, I've struggled with losing weight and rebounding. Back then, my dietitian gave me a diet of whatever I wanted, but in restricted portions. I was happy I could eat froyo on the weekends and all the diet soda I wanted, but I remember the hunger.

I successfully managed my weight throughout middle school in large part due to my success as a competitive swimmer. I trained 2 hours a day. Halfway through high school, after a shoulder accident and undergoing surgery, I stopped swimming and became that fat kid again. 

​

In college, the freshman’s 15 turned to 30. I hit a low point. Riddled with addiction and disordered eating, I learned about ketogenic diets, fasting and the importance of protein over carbs thanks to Jay. This helped me get back on track. 

​

Then, I hit another low point again. This time during the scamdemic. Doubling down on keto didn’t help as much as it did before… more greens, more fat, it never felt sustainable to me. 

​

Then I found the carnivore diet. Now, I can see my abs and have successfully remained weight stable for 2 years with minimal effort, and am still seeing progress in strength and size at the gym.

 

Yet, I still remember feeling like that fat kid. I feel a calling to help others who feel they have tried everything, given up numerous times, but are willing to try something new. It’s not as simple as eat this, lift that, it’s about replacing old behaviors with better, more sustainable ones, and setting yourself up for success in life in the long run - not just the pursuit of a number on the scale.

I’m Jay B. And I have always been hungry. I became carnivore in 2018, after losing weight counting calories. I didn’t know how to sustain or further improve my shape. I truly only knew how to burn calories, which is not sustainable in the long term. My mindset was that meals were earned with more burning activity.

I’ve been athletic since 10 or so years old, playing basketball mainly along with other sports. However, all the activity didn’t give me those 6 pack abs. I doubled down my cardiovascular efforts in college and joined the rowing team. With a bad college diet, terrible sleeping schedule, and other unhealthy habits, no amount of daily 1.5 hours cardio could offset the weight gain. I simply became a cardio powered chubby guy.

​

Once I joined the workforce, any resemblance of athleticism was quickly eroded. Sitting on a desk all day,  coupled with poor understanding of nutrition it is no surprise I gained weight. After all, I only believed in burning calories. 

 

Until I understood the power of nutrition, was I able to witness my abs. However, that still wasn’t enough as I wanted muscle, not just abs. I was hungry, scared to eat, and I wanted to build muscle. It’s physically and mentally hard to build muscle while eating to burn fat. 

 

It wasn’t until carnivore, where I finally ate to satisfy my deep hunger. I was able to build the muscle that I sought out my whole life, and not starve myself while trying to burn the most amount of calories every hour.

We’re not making you a powerlifter, or stage-ready bodybuilder, but we do borrow concepts from them to achieve a base level of fitness optimally. You’ll benefit from our 10+ years of resistance training experience, so all the noise will be cut out, and together we’ll design a custom workout plan that fits your goals. You’ll get that foundational strength and skill and build upon that if that’s what you want.

The Carnivore Diet. This is our preferred Way of Eating, and we can guide you through all the uncertainties that surround this way of eating. After 6+ years of combined experience, we realize it is a simple and straightforward way of eating, but it takes specialized knowledge, trial and error, and life experience to reach this understanding. There is a large amount of noise and distraction in social media regarding high-fat diets, and your peers will frown at this Way of Eating. We’re here to help you two-to-one, and will be just a text away to answer your questions.
